Beauties on Fire – Villains/Superheroes

Hi Beauties!

I have finally hit the second trimester and even though I’m still feeling pretty crappy, I am aware of more energy!

So this week with Beauties On Fire, the theme is Villains and Superheroes! Hop over to Elisabeth’s blog Everything and Nothin to check out the other beauties who are a part of the collab! I wanted to find an obscure villain and so as I started searching around on Pinterest, I came across the perfect villain! Talia Al Ghul from The Dark Knight Returns. She’s not very well known, but every picture I came across I knew I had to replicate her look! My makeup supplies have been running low recently, so I also wanted to find a look I could do with what I already had.

Talia Al Ghul is the daughter of Ras Al Ghul who is Batman’s nemesis. In The Dark Knight Returns, she befriends Bruce Wayne and then turns on him and tries her darnedest to destroy him and finish the work her father started; destroying Gotham City. The bad girl in me likes her character. I like to mystery surrounding her and the slyness she employs by working herself into Bruce Wayne’s trust so she could find his weakness and bring him down. Should I turn evil, that is the kind of person I would be! I study people and am a good people reader so I could find the weak spots. But whoops, you’re not supposed to know that about me!

Anyway, here’s my look emulating Talia Al Ghul. I used my Smoked Urban Decay palette, and did a slight smoky eye with a dark blue eye shadow. I didn’t use traditional eyeliner, but instead of used the Blackout eyeshadow from the palette. In every picture I could find of Talia, I noticed bold lips, bold brows, and a slight smoky eye. For my lips, I used a new lipstick I picked up the other day from Sonia Kashuk. It’s super creamy and I love the color! And I got it for $3 at Target in the clearance boxes.

I hope you like the look!

Have an amazing rest of the week!

  1. Looks like this always suit you, red is perfect with your hair colour. I have no idea who Talia is, but then again that isn’t surprising considering I’m clueless when it comes to anything Marvel or DC. You did the look justice though.
