Beauties On Fire – Blogger Collaboration

Beauties on Fire Logo

Hi Beauties!

Today is the first post for a new blogging collaboration I am doing with a bunch of fellow lifestyle, beauty, and fashion bloggers! We’re going to be picking themes and various topics to blog about in the coming weeks and months, and I’m so excited to be a part of this with so many other A M A Z I N G bloggers!

Elisabeth over at Everything and Nothing brought all of us together and I highly recommend heading over to her blog to check out the rest of our link ups! So welcome to Beauties On Fire!

Now allow me to introduce myself!

1.) Tell us a little about your blog and why you decided to start blogging

Hi everyone, I’m Caleigh, 25, mom to one (as of right now), wife to Phil! I came up with Lashes & Rouge about a year ago and I wanted to create a blog where I could talk about affordable makeup and helpful hairstyles. I love fashion, makeup, and curly hair tips. I didn’t grow up wearing or even knowing a lot about makeup and fashion, so when I discovered I have a deep love for all things fashion and makeup related, I knew I needed to find a platform where I could share that love with others!

2.) How long have you been blogging?

I’ve been blogging here at Lashes & Rouge for almost a year (August will be exactly a year for me), but have been a blogger for about a decade on various different blogs over the years.

3.) Do you consider yourself a fashion blogger, beauty blogger, or both?

Frankly, I’m a little bit of both…but I have more of a focus on beauty blogging than fashion. I am hoping to start bringing in more fashion related posts soonish over the coming months and years.

4.) List 3 things you love to do besides blogging

Browsing Pinterest (seriously, this is a thing!)

5.) What style of makeup do you enjoy the most: Natural, Trendy, Glamorous? Also, what is one beauty product you can’t live without and why.

I find myself drawn towards more Natural looks but also like to keep an eye out for whatever is on trend for the season. For instance, I am really loving the Non-touring trend right now and the natural summer looks a lot of makeup artists are talking about. I’m having a hard time picking just ONE product, but I think I’d have to go with Maybelline’s Baby Skin primer. I use this product every time I wear a full face of makeup to even just wearing finishing powder. It helps protect my skin and creates a base for the rest of my makeup to cling to.

So, like I said, head over to Elisabeth’s blog to find out more about the collaboration and to see the rest of our posts!

I love the name, very classic touches of femininity and class 😀 I had to explain to the bf what Pinterest was last month… I think guys just don’t get it. I go in little binges where I don’t check for months and then it’s just every day. Looking forward to seeing your fashion posts!!!

  4. I really enjoyed reading this post, you have a really easy to read writing style which sums things up perfectly and without rambling. I often feel like I go off on a tangent sometimes. I adore your blog name too, it’s just perfect!
