Essential Tricks to Help Your Everyday Makeup Routine

Hi everyone! I hope you all are having a great hump day. The week is almost over! Yay! So to help you get through your week, I have some very essential tricks that I use constantly.

First is how to keep your lip/eye/eyebrow liner to keep from crumbling when you sharpen it. The thing that works amazingly for me is to put it in the freezer. Leave it in the freezer for about 5-10 minutes depending on how soft the center of your product is. After that just use a makeup pencil sharpener and voila! No breakage!

Next, I will tell you about the best product to use to clean your makeup brushes. It’s baby shampoo! Because it’s designed for delicate baby skin, it is very gentle on your brushes. And it takes the makeup off your brushes very easily and completely! The downside is that it takes several hours for your brushes to dry. So I suggest doing this either after you apply your makeup for the day, or at night before you go to bed.

And Thirdly, when you apply your foundation and concealer you ALWAYS apply your concealer after your foundation and before you set your foundation with a translucent setting powder. The reason it’s extremely important is because if you apply it under your foundation, then it will just disappear once you put your foundation on. I prefer to apply my concealer before my contouring products. And you want to set your concealer with a setting powder. I just use a powder foundation.

Well, I hope you found these tricks helpful! As always head over to our Pick the Topics page and vote for what you want us to write about. And follow us on Twitter, Instagram at @lashes_and_rouge, Facebook, and Youtube. Have a great rest of your week. Bye! x x
